Mayor of Brimbank, Cr John Hedditch said “The program provides businesses with practical tools on how to develop and implement business plans and strategies to enhance decision making, planning and growth.

“This is a terrific opportunity for small business.  Participants will learn how to implement positive change, optimise efficiencies and provide a platform for long-term, sustainable growth for their businesses.

“Applications are now open and 10 businesses based in Brimbank will be selected to participate in the program, which commences early April through to end May 2017.

“Local business owners/operators will be able to work together with experienced management consultants, ION Group, to help identify growth potential within the business.  All aspects of the business will be reviewed to help identify and map areas for improvement.

“This training initiative complements Council’s Economic Development Strategy positioning Brimbank for further growth and development.  We thank the Victorian Government for the assistance towards funding the Grow Your Business program”, Cr John Hedditch said.

ION Group specialise in the fast and effective transformation of businesses, organisations, people and teams and have successfully been delivering the Grow Your Business program in Brimbank since 2013.  Twenty seven local businesses have participated to date.

The program cost is $750 plus GST per participating business, with the Victorian Government contributing $1,500 plus GST per business.

To be eligible businesses must be based in Brimbank, be financially viable, have at least 12 months trading history and a minimum turnover (sales) of $250,000.

The time involved to participate in the program is approximately 20 hours.  This consists of three individual meetings conducted at the businesses premises, as well as two group workshops held at Brimbank Community and Civic Centre in Sunshine.

Interested businesses should check with ION Group to see whether their business is eligible to participate and seek a one page Expression of Interest Form by contacting:
