Police speak to man and woman in relation to Vermont South attempted kidnapping

Whitehorse Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an incident which took place on Springvale Road, near the intersection of the Burwood Highway, about 3.45pm on Sunday 5 February.
Investigators have been told a 17-year-old Burwood East boy had just gotten off a bus when he was approached by a man from behind.
A black Holden Astra, believed to be driven by a female and containing another man, mounted the curb in front of him and he was forced into the back seat by the man.
The car travelled a short distance around the perimeter of a nearby hotel and the victim managed to escape.
One of the men attempted to grab the victim’s shirt; he managed to push him away before running back along Springvale road and reporting the incident to police.
A man and a woman in their late 20s have since attended a police station and are currently assisting with enquiries.
No arrests have been made in relation to this matter.
Investigators have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30s, about 170com tall with short brown hair.
He was wearing a white t-shirt, khaki shorts and was carrying a backpack.
