Today more than 7000 second round offers have been made to students for undergraduate and vocational courses.

Minister for Higher Education and Minister for Training and Skills Gayle Tierney congratulated all students who received an offer, and noted there were plenty of options for those who were not successful this time round.

Students can either wait on further rounds of VTAC offers or change their VTAC preference as long as they meet course requirements.

From today, institutions will commence making supplementary offers to applicants who have not received any offers.

Students are also encouraged to apply for one of the 30 priority TAFE courses and 20 pre-apprenticeship courses under the Victorian Government’s $172 million Free TAFE Initiative.

Free TAFE for Priority Courses reduces the financial barrier for eligible students wanting to train in the courses that lead to the jobs that are most in demand from Victorian employers.

TAFE institutes, including universities that offer TAFE courses, are taking enrolments for Free TAFE courses.
