Mayor of Brimbank, Cr John Hedditch said the program was suited to men aged 18 years and over, of all fitness levels.

“Brimbank Council has been supporting the Sons of the West campaign since it was first launched in 2014.

“In its first year, Sons of the West engaged more the 1000 men across Melbourne’s west, including about 180 Brimbank men, in simple, healthy activities aimed at boosting their health,” Cr Hedditch said.

“Four years in and this program keeps going from strength to strength.

“We want as many Brimbank men to get involved as possible.

“This is a fun – not to mention free - opportunity to talk about men’s health within a safe, inclusive and supportive environment. Through this program you will learn more about your body and how it works and it’s a great way to meet more like-minded people,” Cr Hedditch said.
