Drugs discovered in Melbourne North intercept

Police intercepted a black Mercedes Benz travelling on Flemington Road, North Melbourne just after 10pm, as the car was being driven erratically.
The driver of the car, a 39-year-old man from Richmond was spoken to and the car searched.
During the search it’s alleged police uncovered a white powder substance, believed to be heroin and a quantity of cash.
The man was arrested and police executed search warrants at residential addresses at two inner Melbourne addresses.
A large quantity of drugs, believed to be heroin and methyl amphetamine, was located.
The 39-year-old was charged with traffick commercial quantity of drug of dependence and faced an out of sessions hearing last night.
He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this morning.
