Hit-run collision at Berwick

Police are currently on scene of a hit-run collision that has left a pedestrian with non-life threatening injuries in Berwick this morning.

    Police have been told a man was pushing a broken-down maroon Subaru Forrester out of Riveria Road and west on to O’Shea Road about 6.45am.

    A white Subaru Forrester with stolen registration plates was travelling west along O’Shea Road when it clipped the vehicle and hit the man.

    The male driver and female passenger got out of the vehicle to check on the man before running from the scene.

    They are both described as Caucasian in appearance and aged in their 20s.

    The man was wearing a black cap on backwards and a light coloured t-shirt with a black pattern on the shoulders.

    He also had a sleeve tattoo.

    A 29-year-old Berwick man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

    Casey Highway Patrol officers are investigating and are keen to speak to any witnesses.

    Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are on scene assisting with the investigation.
