Police were called to an address on Alexander Street following reports of an alleged assault shortly before 8.30pm tonight.

A man, who is believed to be in his 30s, was located with serious injuries.

He was treated by emergency services but died at the scene.

Three men, aged 36, 37 and 41 and all from Brighton East, were arrested on scene and are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined and Homicide Squad detectives are investigating.
