You’re invited to a Community Safety Forum

Brimbank Mayor Cr John Hedditch invited community members to come along to hear from Victoria Police about crime trends and ask questions about safety.
“We know that community safety is a priority for Brimbank residents as well as for Council,” Cr Hedditch said.
“We want all Brimbank residents to feel safe and confident in our community – these forums are an opportunity to work together to achieve that goal.
“Community safety involves the whole community taking action – all levels of government, Victoria Police and the wider community including residents, businesses and service providers have important roles to play.”
The Brimbank Community Safety Strategy identifies four priority areas for Council to take action on safety, including injury prevention, crime prevention, reducing alcohol and other drug related harm, and increasing positive perceptions of safety in public places.
“One of the ways Council is working towards this goal, is creating and maintaining high quality public spaces where people feel secure and comfortable,” Cr Hedditch said.
