Police investigate phone theft in Carlton

Investigators have been told three unknown men attended an apartment building on Swanston Street on Monday 26 September about 12.35pm.
It’s believed the men contacted the victim via the intercom who let them in as he thought they were his friends.
When the victim opened the door and realised it wasn’t his friends, he attempted to close the door.
One of the offenders forced open the door and they entered the apartment.
Once inside, they grabbed the victim’s Samsung mobile from his hand and took an empty shopping bag from a table.
The three offenders then left the building via a lift and fled in an unknown direction.
No one was injured in the incident.
Police have released images of three men they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
