Police investigate Carlton burglaries

Melbourne North Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following two burglaries in Carlton last month.

    Investigators believe that an unknown man gained entry to a Drummond Street apartment building about 5.30am on Saturday 16 July.

    Once inside, the man searched through the building with a torch before stealing credit cards and an amount of cash.

    Investigators have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

    Police are also investigating another burglary in Drummond Street on the same day.

    Investigators have been told an unknown man gained entry to another Drummond Street apartment building about 8.40pm.

    On this occasion a man has taken documents, including a passport, and a tablet computer.

    Investigators have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

    Detectives are investigating whether the two burglaries may be linked.
