Fatal shooting in Whittington

Police are investigating after a woman was fatally shot in Whittington last night.

Police and emergency services were called to Conrad Court where a woman was found with a gunshot wound about 9.20pm.
She was taken to hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.
A man who was present at the residence is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Homicide squad detectives are on scene and the investigation is ongoing.
