Car thief caught on camera at Greensborough service station

Banyule Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released CCTV footage of a car thief in action at a Greensborough service station last month.

The theft occurred at the Grimshaw Road service station on Wednesday 21 February just after 6pm.
The victim told investigators that he parked his car on the apron of the service station while he went into the shop.
While his silver Holden Commodore wagon was left unattended a man got into the vehicle and drove away.
The vehicle was located in Sunbury on 27 February but the registration plates UQC 953 are still outstanding.
Investigators have released CCTV footage of the incident and are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
