Investigators believe three men attended Hope Avenue, Donvale about 3am on Thursday 14 September in a silver Mitsubishi Magna with stolen registration plate 1JE9DH.

The men exited the car, broke into a garage and stole a work bag containing hand tools.

A short time later a car in Sturdee Road was broken into and a wallet and credit cards stolen.

The cards were then used at service stations in Doncaster, Mitcham and Nunawading to buy cigarettes.

Investigators have released images of two men who they believe can assist with their investigation.
