Boeing expands Adelaide presence

Mr Pyne said Boeing Defence Australia’s new office would be located in Adelaide’s CBD as a research, development and innovation hub for programs spanning C3I, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and advanced experimentation and prototyping. BDA’s growth in Adelaide builds upon its South Australia team that has been executing on support contracts for the E-7A Wedgetail, P-8A Poseidon and Collins Class submarine.
“Boeing is an integral part of Australia’s defence industry and the partner of choice for some of Australia’s largest and most complex defence projects,” Minister Pyne said.
“Boeing Defence Australia has created more than 1,180 new jobs in the last two years, almost doubling its workforce to more than 2000 employees across the country. In Adelaide, the company expects to grow to approximately 250 people over the next five years.
“It is fitting that in Boeing’s 90th year in Australia; its newest office is in Adelaide, demonstrating the company’s continued confidence in finding great talent across the country and putting people to work in support of defence.”
