Investigators have been told the woman contacted the business over the phone on June 22 and placed a large order for makeup products.

The woman deposited the cheque to a bank on Caroline Springs Boulevard, Caroline Springs about 4.50pm.

The business delivered the products, but the cheque used for the purchase was cancelled by the bank as it was fraudulent.

Police have released images of a woman they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or they can file a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
