It is believed two men were walking on the north side of Franklin Street in an easterly direction on Sunday 5 June about 2.15pm.

A white coloured sedan, also travelling east, veered off the road and collided with one of the men pushing him into a nearby shop window.

It is believed the man bounced off the bonnet and then ran east along Franklin Street.

The white sedan reversed and then appears to chase after the pedestrian.

Police have released CCTV and images of the incident and are keen to speak to the driver of the car, the two pedestrians or anyone else who may have witnessed the collision.

Anyone with information about the collision is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report to www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
