Moonee Valley Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the series, which occurred in the early hours of 6 January.

Detectives believe two men gained entry to a Puckle Street homewares store about 5.45am.

They stole cash and EFTPOS machines.

At about 6.05pm, one of the initial men gained entry to a Napier Street fast food store in Essendon.

He appeared to be accompanied by a different male.

A grinder, which was carried in the first offence, was used in the second burglary to assist in stealing a large amount of money.

Investigators believe the trio were travelling in a silver coloured 2012-2014 Hyundai 120 5 door hatch.

It is believed the same trio may have committed three further burglaries on Puckle Street, Moonee Ponds on 8 January.

Detectives have released images and CCTV of the men they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

One man is described as having a medium build and wearing a grey “Everlast” hooded jumper with white writing down the left sleeve, grey tracksuit pants and black casual shoes.

He was carrying a grinder and wearing gloves.

The second male is perceived to be African in appearance with a slim build, short black hair and carrying a blue backpack.

He was wearing a dark hooded jacket, black tracksuit pants with white stripes and grey casual shoes.

The third man was perceived to be Caucasian with a medium build and short dark hair.

He was wearing a dark hooded jumper, blue bandana, grey shorts and black shoes.

He was seen carrying what appeared to be the same blue backpack seen earlier.

Anyone who has information is urged to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
