Investigators understand a dark-coloured Toyota Coupe containing three men pulled up alongside the victim in High Street just after midnight on 31 August.

Two of the men got out of the car and grabbed the victim, causing him to fall to the ground.

One of the men then walked the victim onto a nearby footbridge over Gardener Creek Trail and leaned him over the railing.

The man threatened the victim with a broken bottle and demanded he hand over the contents of his pockets.

The men then returned to the car and drove west along High Street, towards Malvern.

The victim’s keys were stolen and he sustained minor injuries during the incident.

The first man is perceived to be Middle Eastern in appearance, aged in his 30’s, about 175cm tall, solid build with short dark hair and a trimmed beard, wearing dark-coloured pants and shoes.

The second man is Caucasian in appearance, about 185cm tall, thin build with short dark hair, wearing dark-coloured clothing.

The third man is Caucasian in appearance, about 185cm tall, thin build, wearing a rain coat-type jacket, dark-coloured pants and white casual shoes.

Investigators have released a digital image of the first man, who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Police have also released an image of a vehicle believed to be similar to the car driven by the offenders.
