Indecent act on a tram - Melbourne

Detectives have been told a 9-year-old girl was with sitting opposite a family member on a west-bound tram on Collins Street at about 2.30pm.
A man, while on the number 48 tram, positioned himself near the child and exposed his penis and committed a lewd act.
Investigators believe the male got on the tram at the same time as the child, at the Swanston Street stop.
The girl told her family member who then confronted the man.
He fled from the tram as it stopped on Collins street (between Williams and Market streets), running towards Market street to Flinders street.
Investigators have released a facial composite and CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
