Driver assaulted and car stolen in Brighton

Police are searching for a ride-share driver’s vehicle after he was assaulted in Brighton on Sunday morning.

Police have been told a St Albans man was sitting in his light blue Camry sedan during a shift on Were Street when two men pulled up in a vehicle about 2.15am.
It is believed the driver was threatened by two unknown men with a knife before he was dragged out of the car.
The offenders attempted to drive away while the victim was holding onto the door and dragged approximately 50 metres before he let go.
The 31-year-old man received serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital.
Police are keen to speak to any witnesses and are currently searching for a light blue Toyota Camry, registration IHA 8LK.
