Minister for Education James Merlino today announced that the Victorian Budget 2018/19 includes $3 million to fund the first stages of upgrades at Pascoe Vale Primary School and $2.3 million for the first stage at Pascoe Vale Girls Secondary College.
The funding will mean both schools can upgrade facilities, including refurbishing and modernising classrooms and facilities in poor condition.
These works will target facilities that need it most, ensuring that students learn in an environment designed for delivering modern education.
The Victorian School Building Authority will work with school staff to help them identify where to best direct the funding, including through a ‘Bricks & Mortar’ training course.
The Labor Government is building the Education State so every Victorian student can get a great education and every community has access to a great local school.
This includes an unprecedented $2.8 billion investment to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools across the state.
This school building boom has delivered more than 1,200 school upgrades and 70 new school projects across the state, supporting more than 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
