Arrest made after man drags woman into Melbourne CBD alleyway

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following an incident in Melbourne’s CBD on Sunday morning (28 October).

A man is alleged to have grabbed a woman walking along Little Lonsdale Street and attempted to drag her towards Brights Place.
The 19-year-old Gladstone Park man handed himself into police overnight.
He was charged with intent to commit a sexual act, unlawful imprisonment, recklessly cause injury and other assault related charges.
He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
