The incident took place at a service station convenience store on Bell Street on Tuesday 12 September at 10pm.
Investigators have been told that two men, one armed with a knife, entered the store and approached the attendant who was stocking some shelves.
The attendant was forced, at knife-point, to open the cash register and the cigarette cabinet.
The attendant complied with the robber’s commands who then fled the store with an amount of cash and cigarettes.
One offender is perceived to be of African appearance with a thin build and wearing a dark-coloured hoodie, gloves and a back pack.
The second man is described as being aged between 20-30yrs, medium build with an olive complexion.
Investigators have released an image of one of the men they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
