One deceased after balcony fall

Police will prepare a report for the coroner after the death of a woman in Collingwood yesterday.

A man and a woman were located after a fall from a third floor balcony on Smith Street in Collingwood just after 11.30am.
The woman, a 29-year-old from Abbottsford, died at the scene and the 35-year-old Collingwood man remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Police are still investigating the exact cause of the incident but at this stage are not treating the death as suspicious.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have witnesses the incident or has any information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
