Brimbank Mayor Cr John Hedditch said the sessions would be a chance for the community to get to know Councillors in a casual setting.
“The new Brimbank Council is passionate about Brimbank and its future. We see our role as Councillors to engage extensively with the local community, as well as to deliver services and infrastructure that reflect our community’s values and hopes.
“We also believe that Council has a critical role to advocate for a fair go for Brimbank.
“In order to do this, we need to be open and available to all members of the community, so that we can ensure your voices are heard,” Cr Hedditch said.
Since being elected in November last year, this Council has already established a strong record of community consultation, with community input through Council’s Big Ideas for Brimbank sessions playing a vital role in the development of Council’s draft Council Plan 2017-2021.
This plan sets out Council’s vision for our community: Brimbank - vibrant, harmonious and welcoming, a great place to live, work and grow.
Sessions will be run on a drop in basis – there is no need to stay for the whole session and no need to book.
