Unknown offender/s have attended a property on Spence Street in Keilor Park where the boat was being repaired.
The boat repairer heard a noise about 7am on 30 September and noticed the offender/s had started to tow the boat and trailer using a blue Ford ute.
He decided to follow the stolen boat to Erebus Street where the offending driver stopped to check the trailer coupling.
The boat repairer parked in front of the offender’s vehicle but the offender reversed and drove off toward Fullarton Road.
The offender was observed driving on the wrong side of the road onto the Calder Freeway.
The offending vehicle got off on Bulla Road and drove onto Bell Street toward Strathmore.
The ute struck and damaged a vehicle travelling on Pascoe Vale Road before driving off again.
The offending ute was again located by the boat repairer on the Tullamarine Freeway after the ute broke down.
The victim confronted the offending driver and observed a female passenger before the couple fled on foot toward Church Street in Parkville.
Investigators are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the blue Ford ute driving erratically or who may have dash cam footage of the incidents.
