Police call for witnesses to nightclub assault in Brunswick

The assault happened in the Phoenix Street nightclub on Friday 26 May just before midnight.
The victim, a 26-year-old Rosebud man, told investigators that he first came into contact with the three men outside the nightclub at 10pm.
On this occasion the victim and the three men became involved in a verbal argument before the men walked away and the victim entered the club.
Just before midnight the three men approached the victim inside the club, pushing and shoving him until security turned up and broke up the altercation.
A short time later, the men returned, punching the victim to the head, causing him to fall to the ground.
Once on the ground the men continued to punch the victim to the head.
The men ran from the club before police could attend.
The victim sustained serious injuries in the assault, resulting in him losing sight in his right eye, having to undergo two operations and not being able to work since the assault.
One of the men is described as being aged in his early 20s, with long dark hair pulled back into a pony tail and a moustache.
Another man is described as being aged in his early 20s with shoulder-length dark curly hair.
Investigators have released CCTV footage and images of two men who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
