Man charged following Frankston kidnapping

It is alleged the victim was forced into the passenger seat of his own car and the man has then driven them from the property.

A short time later, police observed the stolen car driving erratically on Warrandyte Road, Langwarrin and attempted to intercept.

The car was located a short time later near the intersection of Bevnol and Sunnybank roads where it had crashed into an embankment.

Two men were located inside the car and police found the victim in the passenger seat with his arms bound.

The 47-year-old Frankston man has been charged with numerous offences including burglary, kidnapping, theft of motor vehicle, recklessly cause serious injury and assault.

He has been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
