In 2018, over 200 Brimbank residents removed 10 trailer loads and 300 bags of rubbish across 22 sites in Brimbank. Let’s make this year bigger and better!

There are several ways you can take part.

You can find a site near you and register to join the clean up by visiting cleanupaustraliaday.org.au.

Alternatively, if you know of another site that needs attention, and a clean, you can register your own clean-up site online before Tuesday 26 February. Once registered you will receive a tool kit to help you advertise and run your own clean-up event safely and successfully.

If you choose to register your own site, Brimbank City Council can assist with site planning and rubbish removal. For more information, contact Council’s Environment Department on 9249 4000 or email environment@brimbank.vic.gov.au.

There are also opportunities for local businesses and schools to get involved through Business Clean Up Day on Tuesday 26 February and Schools Clean Up Day on Friday 1 March.

Clean Up Australia Day empowers communities to take action to clean up, fix up and protect our environment.

So far, clean-ups are happening around Brimbank in suburbs including Sunshine, Keilor Downs and St Albans.

To find your nearest clean-up site visit cleanupaustraliaday.org.au or call Council on 9249 4000.
