Two arrested following Albion armed robbery

Police performing duties as part of Operation Regnant arrested two men following an alleged armed robbery in Albion last night (18 March).

It is understood the victim, a 23-year-old Albion man was walking along Selwyn Street about 9.45pm.
He was approached by two men when one of the men allegedly produced a knife and stole the victim’s wallet.
The victim ran home and alerted police who swiftly arrested the men within minutes nearby and located the victim’s wallet.
The two men, aged 21 and 20 both from Sunshine have each been charged with armed robbery and assault with a weapon.
They have been remanded to appear at Sunshine Magistrate’s Court today.
