Six arrested following drug investigation in southern suburbs

Police have arrested six people as part of a drug investigation in the southern suburbs of Melbourne.

Dandenong uniform and Divisional Response Unit (DRU) members, in conjunction with Drug Task Force detectives, executed 19 warrants across October and November.

A number of hydroponic set ups were located and dismantled, which included the seizure of over 1300 cannabis plants.

Addresses were primarily residential, with the exception of one factory in Dandenong.

The six arrested over this time included:

- 38 year old Devon Meadows man bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 25/03/19;

- 35 year old Springvale man remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 16/01/19;

- 24 year old Springvale woman remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 25/01/19;

- 28 year old Keysborough woman remanded to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 26/11/18 ;

- 25 year old Cranbourne East man remanded to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 28/11/18;

- 29 year old Cranbourne East man remanded to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates Court on 8/11/18.

They have all been charged with cultivate and traffick commercial quantity of cannabis, theft of electricity and deal with property suspected to be proceeds of crime.
