Police Investigate Northcote Tram Vs Cyclist collision

Emergency services were called to St Georges Road after the female cyclist was clipped by a tram about 7.30am.

Investigators are yet to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the collision, however at this stage it is believed the woman had been riding from Beavers Road across to a bike path on St Georges Road.

The 25-year-old Northcote woman was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

The tram driver has assisted police with their enquiries.
