One deceased after balcony fall

A man and a woman were located after a fall from a third floor balcony on Smith Street in Collingwood just after 11.30am.

The woman, a 29-year-old from Abbottsford, died at the scene and the 35-year-old Collingwood man remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Police are still investigating the exact cause of the incident but at this stage are not treating the death as suspicious.
