MAN DIES AFTER SHOOTING IN OAKLEIGH EAST - UPDATE

Homicide Squad detectives are currently on scene and continue to investigate after a 44-year-old man was shot in Oakleigh East this morning.

Investigators have been told the man was at an apartment on Clayton Road when an altercation occurred between a group of people just before 5.30am.
A Clayton man was shot and taken to hospital where he died this morning.
It is believed a number of people fled the scene in unknown vehicles.
No arrests have been made.
Detectives are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area.
