After teaching art all over the world for 30 years, Judith retired from teaching to paint and draw full time. She is inspired by the atmosphere created by light and shade in nature, and uses oil based paint, acrylic paint, pastel and watercolour to capture light and colour in landscape.
In this latest series of paintings, Judith extends her exploration of the boundary between abstraction and obscuration.
The exhibition challenges the viewer to go beyond, to not simply look at, but rather to look in, and look through, the surface of the canvas.
Cr John Hedditch, Mayor of Brimbank, encourages community members to come along to view the exhibition while it is on display at the Brimbank Community and Civic Centre.
“We are pleased to provide our local artists a venue to showcase their work and share it with the community.
“We hope that this exhibition, and others we will host at the Brimbank Community and Civic Centre in the future, inspires others to explore their own creativity and interest in arts and culture.”
