Yesterday (Thursday, 2 February 2017), the 47-year-old was arrested at an address in Mascot, NSW, after arriving on a flight from Los Angeles earlier in the week.
He has been charged with the importation of a marketable quantity of a border controlled drug, namely cocaine.
Police will allege that the man has been involved in the importation of illegal drugs, via airfreight and the mail systems, from Southern California, USA to Australia between September 2015 and January 2017.
Enquiries remain ongoing and further arrests have not been ruled out.
