Donnellan To Visit Tianjin And Shanghai Ports

Mr Donnellan is the 11th Andrews Government Minister to travel to China and will visit Melbourne’s Sister City Tianjin, where he will meet with the Tianjin Port Authority, before heading to Beijing and then on to Shanghai.
The Minister will also meet with current and prospective investors from across the country’s booming transport, distribution and logistics sector.
In Beijing, Mr Donnellan will meet with executives from CIC Capital, China’s $200 billion sovereign wealth fund and part of the Lonsdale Consortium behind the successful $9.6 billion bid for the 50-year Port of Melbourne lease.
The trip will also include meetings with representatives from: Tewoo Group; ChemChina, China Easypass Info Tech; Apex Logistics; COSCO Shipping Lines; JD.com logistics team and Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Company.
China is Victoria’s largest overall trading partner, with total goods exports valued at $4.83 billion in 2015-16 and is a key investor across a number of industry sectors.
