Collision with life threatening injuries in Campbellfield

Investigators have been told a dual cab ute and tray truck collided at the intersection of Sydney Road and Barry Road at 5.50am.
It is believed the driver of the ute, who is yet-to-be-identified, was turning from Sydney Road onto Barry Road.
He has received life threatening injuries and has been taken to hospital.
The truck driver, a 22-year-old man from Craigieburn, who was travelling south on Sydney Road was not injured and is assisting police with their enquiries.
No other people were involved in the collision.
Traffic travelling south on Sydney Road is being diverted onto Barry Road.
Road diversions are expected to be in place during the morning peak.
