All cats in Brimbank aged three months and over must be desexed, unless exempt.
Desexing your cat can reduce the risk of a range of health issues, including cancer. It also helps to reduce the number of impounded cats, prevent unwanted cat pregnancies and better manage strays.
Council will host the Lost Dogs’ Home Mobile Cat Desexing Event at Westvale Community Centre, St Albans, from Tuesday 29 to Thursday 31 January 2019.
Brimbank Council will subsidise the cost of cat desexing – this means cat owners will pay just $54 per cat.
Each cat will also receive a complementary microchip with Central Animal Records and free registration with Council until 10 April 2020.
Cats must be in good health and aged between 9 weeks and 8 years old.
Places are limited and bookings are essential.
