Witness appeal following West Melbourne hit-run

Police are appealing for witnesses after a hit-run which left a cyclist with life-threatening injuries in West Melbourne this morning.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Dryburgh Street and Dynon Road about 12.50am following reports a car had hit a cyclist.
After colliding with the cyclist, the silver 4WD then drove off from the scene.
The silver or grey coloured vehicle has likely sustained damage to its front lights.
The male cyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
At this stage, the intersection is expected to be closed until about 7am this morning.
