It’s believed two offenders drove a van into a roller door to gain access to the Victory Road premises about 4.40am on 2 February and stole an amount of copper.
The van, a stolen white 2000 Mitsubishi Express, then collided with a car as they fled the scene.
Police pursued the van for a short time but were unable to intercept the vehicle.
The vehicle was later found burnt out in Dallas Drive, Broadmeadows.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
Investigators have released an image of a man in a van that may be able to assist with their enquiries.
