Police search for thief in Melbourne's CBD

Investigators have been told an unknown man entered a store on Bourke Street about 5.30pm on Saturday 28 October.

The man walked behind the counter and stole cash from the cash register before leaving the store.

Investigators believe the same man attended a shopping centre on La Trobe Street at 1.30pm on Thursday 16 November and 6.10pm on Tuesday 21 November.

On both occasions the offender stole cash from the cash register from stores inside the shopping centre.

Police have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
