Police investigate serious assault in Brunswick

Investigators have been told the victim, a 21-year-old Brunswick man, became involved in an altercation with another man about 1.20am on 10 September on Sydney Road.

The man then punched the victim to the face and attempted to punch the victim’s friend several times before being taken away by his friends.

The victim presented himself to hospital with a broken jaw.

Police have released an image of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He has been described as Caucasian, about 160cm tall, aged in his mid-20s and clean-shaven.
