It is believed the pair entered an apartment building on Berkeley Street in Carlton about 2.35pm on 18 June.

They took a lift to the nineteenth floor and walked out onto the outdoor balcony area where the male smashed a security camera mounted to the side of the building.

Investigators have released CCTV footage of a male and female who may be able to assist police with their enquiries.

The female had dark long hair in a ponytail and was wearing a burgundy-coloured hooded jumper, camouflage pants, dark shoes and a dark-coloured backpack.

The male had short light brown hair, which was parted in the middle, and was wearing a black coat, white t-shirt, dark jeans and dark shoes.

Both are perceived to be of Caucasian appearance and aged in their early 20s.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
