Man charged following Heidelberg West Aggravated Burglary

The incident occurred on Liberty Parade, just after 6am.

Two people were home at the time of the incident, a 38-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, both were not injured.

Detectives from the Banyule Crime Investigation Unit arrested the man a short time later in nearby Hawker Street, Ivanhoe.

He has been charged with:

• 2 x Aggravated Burglary

• 1 x Attempted Theft of Motor Vehicle

• 1 x Threats to kill

• 3 x Theft

• 2 x Burglary

• 1 x Criminal Damage

• 2 x Commit Indictable offence whilst on bail.

• 1 x Contravene Bail conditions

He will appear at Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court later today.
