“Gravity“ và “The Hobbit 2“ là những ứng viên xuất sắc tại Saturn Awards 2014.
Saturn Awards là giải thưởng dành riêng cho thể loại phim khoa học giả tưởng, kinh dị và phiêu lưu. Danh sách phim tranh giải Saturn lần thứ 40 được công bố hôm 27/2. "Gravity" của đạo diễn Alfonso Cuaron và "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" của Peter Jackson cùng nhận tám đề cử. "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" theo sau với bảy đề cử. "Iron Man 3", "Pacific Rim", "Star Trek into Darkness" và "Thor: The Dark World" mỗi phim tranh giải ở năm hạng mục.
Ở hạng mục Phim khoa học giả tưởng, "Gravity" đối đầu "Catching Fire", "Pacific Rim", "Ender's Game", "Riddick" và "Star Trek Into Darkness". Cuộc đua Phim thần thoại hay nhất thuộc về "About Time", "Her", "Oz: the Great and Powerful", "Jack the Giant Slayer" và "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty".
Nữ diễn viên chính xuất sắc gồm các đề cử Sandra Bullock - phim "Gravity", Jennifer Lawrence - phim "Catching Fire", Mia Wasikowska - phim "Stoker", Martina Gedeck - phim "The Wall", Halle Berry - "The Call" và Emma Thompson - phim "Saving Mr. Banks".
