Delivering Work For More Than 5,000 Long-Term Jobseekers
Minister for Industry and Employment Ben Carroll joined Member for Wendouree Sharon Knight and Member for Buninyong Geoff Howard at Haymes Paint to meet workers that have benefited from the $68 million initiative.
Launched in 2016, Jobs Victoria is breaking down barriers and providing real support to the long-term unemployed, retrenched automotive workers, at-risk young people and those with a disability.
Haymes Paints employ two Jobs Victoria participants, both of whom faced barriers to finding work but were connected with the fourth-generation family company through Jobs Victoria Partner, Qualify.
The two local participants are among thousands of Victorians who have been provided with the tailored support offered by Jobs Victoria and its partners.
