Cyclist critical following Coburg hit-run collision

Police are yet to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident, however it is believed a female teenager had been riding her bike when she was struck at the corner of Bell and Sussex streets just after 8pm.

The girl has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car, believed to be a dark-coloured BMW, stopped briefly before leaving the scene.

Investigators believe the vehicle will have damage to the left hand side and front windscreen.
