Copper thief in his element at Carlton

Police are appealing for public assistance after more than $2000 of copper was stolen during a burglary at a construction site in Carlton earlier this month.

Police have been told an unknown man attended a construction site on Swanston Street on three separate occasions.
It is believed the offender entered the site on 27 April, 29 April and 1 May and stole power tools and copper piping.
Melbourne North Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and have released images of a man that may be able to assist with their enquiries.
